2026 Illuminate Paws Walk

As Producer of the inaugural Illuminate Paws Walk, I led the delivery of a new community fundraising event created by Illuminate Adelaide in partnership with RSPCA South Australia.

Beginning at Neon Dog Park in Rymill Park/Murlawirrapurka, the experience invited dogs and their companions to journey through Illuminate Adelaide’s City Lights trail before finishing on North Terrace.

Producing an event designed for both people and animals required a specialised operational approach. I coordinated the event’s route, registration and ticketing processes, eight staggered departure waves, crowd movement, accessibility, staffing and stakeholder requirements. Animal welfare and responsible participation were embedded throughout the planning, including attendee waivers, on-leash protocols, rest and hydration considerations, and procedures for managing dogs within a busy nighttime environment.

The event combined public art, community participation and fundraising while supporting the work of RSPCA South Australia. Delivering its first edition demonstrated my ability to take a new event format from concept to operation, manage an unconventional audience and create a safe, inclusive and memorable public experience.
