2021 - 2024 Santos Tour Down Under

I led the management and operational delivery of the Santos Tour Down Under Village in Victoria Square/Tarntanyangga—the event’s central city hub and primary destination for cycling fans, teams, partners and the broader community.

Her work spanned a period of significant transformation. This included delivering COVID-adapted domestic festival experiences in 2021, managing the rapid relocation and redesign of the Festival Village during the 2022 Omicron outbreak, and supporting the return of international UCI WorldTour competition in 2023.

The expanded Tour Village brought together Australia’s largest cycling expo, international team operations, stakeholder and sponsor activations, food and beverage outlets, live entertainment, family programming, rider appearances and live race coverage within one complex public-event precinct.

By 2024, the Village was also directly integrated into elite competition, providing the backdrop to the Down Under Classic and hosting the start of the final women’s stage. The wider 2024 event attracted an estimated 770,600 attendances, generated $87.2 million in attendee expenditure and was named Best Sporting Event at the Australian Event Awards.

My role as Operations Manager was to design of the hub site of the Santos Tour Down Under. The design each year included hospitality, bike expo and major entertainment space. Facilitating the needs of major international bike brands and exhibitors to a niche audience. I was also responsible for daily management operations, programming, facilities needs of a Major UCI Event site.
